With the introduction of high definition television (HDTV), gone are the days of the traditional square 'box' tv that took up a quarter of your floor space in the living room!
Today's LCD Televisions with their slim design means that they are perfect where space is limited, as well as where style is important.
You’ll notice a huge difference in the picture quality too with high definition TVs displaying up to 4 times the quality of current analogue TV's. The level of detail is astonishing with clearer, sharper and more vibrant images.
All of the LCD Televisions we sell are capable of being connected to the latest High Definition sources.
Some key features to look out for are;
Resolution - the number of pixels the image is made up of.WXGA (1366 pixels wide by 768 pixels high) is currently the most popular resolution available, if you want to experience FULL HD then look out for 1920 x 1080 (FULL HD) resolution.
Brightness - This measures the quantity of light emitted from the television screen. A higher level of brightness will produce a bolder and more vibrant picture.
Contrast - The higher the contrast ratio of a television the deeper and richer the picture will be. This is the measurement of the difference in light intensity between the brightest possible white and the darkest possible black.
Connectivity -As with any TV you'll want to make sure you can connect your DVD player, game console and other equipment to your LCD TV. Look for at least one SCART socket (preferably two and ideally with RGB input for superior picture quality), component video inputs as well as a standard aerial socket. It's also worth looking out for a PC monitor connection if you'll want to connect your computer to the TV at any point.To experience true HD look out for HDMI connection.
